Experiencing pain while working from home during COVID?

It is commonly known that a poor sitting posture can cause pain in the lower back. During this

pandemic, a lot of us are working from home. But are you comfortable with your chair

and desk? If not, it could cause more problems than you would think like the following:

One More Approach To Treat Headaches

If you have a headache, you’re not alone. Nine out of 10 Americans suffer from headaches. Some are occasional, some frequent, some are dull and throbbing, and some cause debilitating pain and nausea. What do you do when you suffer from a pounding headache? Do you grit your teeth and carry on? Lie down? Pop a pill and hope the pain goes away? There is a better alternative.

Research shows that spinal manipulation – one of the primary treatments provided by doctors of chiropractic – may be an effective treatment option for tension headaches and headaches that originate in the neck.

Headaches have many causes, or “triggers.” One of the reasons is from you neck.

Spinal manipulation primary therapy, but treatment options are expanding

Chiropractic is a health care system that holds that the structure of the body, particularly the spine, affects the function of every part of the body. Chiropractors try to correct the body's alignment to relieve pain and improve function and to help the body heal itself.

Are You Ready For The Coming Snow

Winter low back pain from snow removal can be prevented with correct snow shoveling technique. I would like to share some tips on finding the right shovel, proper shoveling posture, and exercises to relieve muscle strain.

Snow shoveling is one of the more common causes of back injuries during the winter months. However, this type of injury is preventable if you know the best ways to remove snow without straining the back.

Pick the Right Snow Shovel

An ergonomic snow shovel can help take some of the effort out of snow removal chores.

  • A shovel with a curved handle or an adjustable handle length will minimize painful bending, requiring you to bend your knees only slightly and arch your back very slightly while keeping the shovel blade on the ground.
  • A small, lightweight, plastic blade helps reduce the amount of weight that you are moving.

Benefits Of Spinal Decompression

Spinal decompression therapy is a modern, non-surgical traction procedure that effectively treats low back, neck, and radiating leg and arm pain. This type of traction is very successful in relieving pain associated with spinal disc herniation, degenerative spinal discs, and facet joint syndromes. Spinal decompression therapy decompresses spinal discs and facet joints by utilizing traction, distraction, and body positioning.

Research to develop this procedure was conducted by prominent physicians, engineers and technicians at major teaching hospitals. This therapy has been clinically proven to provide pain relief and decrease symptoms associated with herniated and/or bulging discs.

Studies have shown that the spinal disc injury is responsible for a significant number of lumbar/leg pain and neck/arm pain syndromes. Excessive compression forces from daily activities increases internal spinal disc pressure which can lead to spinal disc protrusion, herniation, and bulging of disc material.
